Energy & Utilities
|
Setec Security understands that the United States' utility infrastructure is the backbone of commerce, transportation, communications, government, health care, and home life.
The United States' Department of Energy has placed the security of "critical infrastructure" SCADA systems and surrounding networks as a top priority, since they have long been depended on to safely deliver services that are vital to the protection, prosperity, security, and welfare of the United States.
As such, the key functions in providing essential services and commodities (e.g., electricity, natural gas, gasoline, water, waste treatment, transportation) to all Americans requires protection from the variety of risks and threats that utilities face. Action is required by all utilities, government or commercial, to secure SCADA systems and surrounding networks as part of the effort to adequately protect the nation's critical infrastructure.
Setec Security protects the critical infrastructure of the nation's utilities in conjunction with the National Strategy for Homeland Security by coordinating cross-sector initiatives and complementing public-private efforts to manage the emerging risks to economic and national security.
